The Mailbag Membership: A New Way Forward for the Old Team

What’s happening?

As we enter a new racing year, we’re bringing all of our products under the one roof. As we evolve as analysts and punters, so should our products, reflective of the combined experience from data to replay analysis, to the assessment of the mounting yard and market late, aiming to provide only the best services for our clients. 

The only questions you have is answer are firstly, would you like information for Saturday only, or the entire week; and secondly, do you consider yourself a semi-professional punter who thrives with the team for the daily grind, or just want the Saturday staking plan to set and forget?

We will also continue to offer the Captain’s Picks as a ‘cheat sheet’ for Saturdays: a summary of all the early bets already had in the three states covered by the Rated Prices team, plus some extras targeting the best of the trials, black bookers and juvenile opportunities around the country.

Why is this happening?

A few reasons! It allows us to produce higher quality, more comprehensive and more consistent information on a weekly basis with our Rated Prices. It also provides more flexibility for our team to pick and choose the meetings they target week to week. 

For example, is there another wet track at Randwick? We’ll look to Brisbane. An awful possibly wet winter card at Belmont? Pistol may pivot to Kalgoorlie instead. A Saturday mounting yard from Nar Nar Goon aka the Bermuda Triangle at Pakenham? We’ll pivot and look to do some Saturday mail for Sha Tin! Finally, we’re looking to provide a simpler, more streamlined set of product offerings and better value for money for you!

When is this happening?

The new membership options will go live Monday December 8, with the previous products to be phased out of the shop on Monday January 5. All previous product subscriptions and discount offers will continue to be active until cancelled by the user (simply do so on the website, My Account > Subscriptions and toggle ‘Renew’ to ‘Cancel’), or lapsed (if the payment fails). After this time, these ‘legacy products’ will not be able to be reactivated. 

What does this look like?

Going forward there will be three options: the Captain's Picks; the Mailbag Saturday Pass and the Mailbag Membership. Depending on your membership level you will receive different information on either Saturday or across the week.

We will look to provide every week: a set of Victorian Rated Prices (Wednesday and Saturday, plus select provincial meetings), WA Prices (Saturday, plus select races throughout the week) and select NSW Prices (or occasionally QLD or SA Prices) across Saturday. When appropriate, early units will be recommended across these races, with all customers with the Mailbag Membership then having access to the detailed Rated Prices on race day (and those with the Saturday Pass for Saturday racing). 

Mounting Yard Mail will then be provided for the metro meetings in Melbourne and Sydney, to complement the advice for the races already covered by the Rated Prices service. For some races that haven’t been priced, such as the Highways and Midways in Sydney and potentially some 2yo races, the MYM will then provide updated staking advice late.

What is included in the The Mailbag Membership?

*Selected races priced, betting strategies and maps for up to 4 meetings a week (on ave 2x VIC, 1x WA, 1x NSW)

*MYM from up to 4 metro meetings a week, including runner comments and top selections (on ave 2x NSW, 2x VIC per week, meetings to be announced on Discord every week)

*Other betting strategies across the country from the trials, jump outs and blackbook

*Advice to take early prices in those meetings

*All betting strategies recorded and resulted, comparing recommended price taken with BTSP and BFSP

*Plus weekly reviews, occasional bonus provincial mail, first chance to trial experimental datasets and new features, blackbookers, previews and priority Discord access

This premium service is priced at $149.99/week or $389.99/month, which is priced the same as our current Rated Prices service for the week, although is now significantly cheaper per month to encourage long-term team members. The new membership tier is also more comprehensive than the previous Platinum Pack, however, that product will still function in the background for those keeping that subscription.

What is included in the Saturday Pass?

*Selected races priced and mapped across VIC, plus WA and NSW on Saturday

*MYM from Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday (with potential long term to integrate MYM in to the Rated Prices worksheet on Saturday)

*Other betting strategies across the country on Saturday

*All betting strategies recorded and resulted, comparing recommended price taken with BTSP and BFSP

What about the Captain’s Picks?

The Captain’s Picks will remain as a ‘cheat sheet’ for the day, provided after midday EST once the day’s staking has been finalised. In essence, every early bet already recommended by the Rated Prices teams will be included, plus any additional plays around the country not covered by the Rated Prices services. This aims to provide a summary to those who want to be involved with the team, but don’t have the time to bet race-by-race or just want a simple staking plan resulted at Best Tote/SP.

Please note that as previously, Captain’s members won’t have access to the Rated Prices or MYM.

As of January 5 2026, the Captain's Picks will increase to $19.99 a week or $79.99 a month. Those with an existing subscription will continue on your current rates as long as the subscription is active.

What if I already have a subscription?

If you are already happy with your current subscription, you can continue with these ‘legacy products’ as long as the subscription remains active. Nothing will change in terms of what you currently receive, but you will also not be upgraded to the new Membership level either. Manage your subscription in My Account.
